Year 1998.

And again a blockbuster from the inner storage; one brand new and complete FULL LENGTH H0 TOMIX set of the EMU train "JR Limited Express Sleeper Series 285 (Sunrise Express)" as it was put into operation in 1998. This offer includes the complete double train as it runs in reality with the following sets:
First train:
59001 4-car base set series 285 with motor
59003 3-car extension set 285 with 2nd motor
Second train:
59002 4-car base set series 285 with motor
59004 3-car extension set 285 with 2nd motor
The complete model train consists of 14 units, which can be separated into two independent trains ... like in reality.
The Sunrise Express with the units Seto and Izumo is running with the 2 trains coupled from Tokyo, via Himeji, to Okayama. When Okayama is reached, they will be separated.
The Seto train will then moves southern direction to Takamatsu (Kagawa, north of Shikoku island); the Izumo train runs northern to Matsue and Izumo, which is in the Shimane Prafecture. When returning to Tokyo, the trains join again and also stop at Osaka.
It is running under these companies: West Japan Railway (JR West) , Central Japan Railway (JR Central, JR Tokai) and covers these regions: Kanto, Chubu, Kansai, Chugoku, Shikoku.
The set comes with Scharfenberg couplings, and uses 2x 2 (4 !) CANON made DN16 motors with flywheels to power the train with smooth operation. Kindly note that a minimum radius of 490mm (no S-curves) is necessary.
